For a wedding, a family year or a coffee-table album, choose A4 (8x12 inch) or the square 8x8 and 12x12 inch books, which give your photos the most room.
Landscape books suit wide photos, like group shots and scenery. Portrait books suit photos of people. Square books are the most flexible, and they work well when your photos are a mix of shapes.
Most sizes come in hardcover or softcover. Hardcover is sturdier and feels like a keepsake, which suits weddings and gifts. Softcover is lighter and costs less, which suits trips and everyday albums.

Every book starts at 20 pages, and you can add more up to 120 pages on A4 books. As a rough guide, one or two photos per page gives each photo space, while a collage page fits several smaller photos.
